The Queen of Green
Nedra Rhone did a great job on this story about Holly Elmore but I'm not really crazy about her characterization of the Green Food Service Alliance's founder as the "green bean counter."
In my book Holly Elmore is no bean counter; she's the freakin' Queen of Green. She's recently begun to move the Zero Waste Zone initiative that debuted in downtown Atlanta into the Buckhead area where it will continue to transform the way restaurants deal with their garbage. It's hard to imagine the impact of this project and Elmore isn't stopping in Buckhead. She has plans to reform the environmental practices of restaurants all across the state, one zone at a time. That's the first step toward the creation of a zero waste world.
Bean counter? Please.
