Food, Inc. starts today

Even though The End of the Line hasn't made it to town yet, Food, Inc., another important documentary about how we get our food and what it does to us, is playing today at Midtown Art Cinema and LeFont. If you don't know where "food" comes from, I hope you'll go see it; it sounds like a great way to educate yourself about the whole shameful process in under two hours if you can stomach it.
It's painful to me to see animals cruelly mistreated, as they are in factory farming practices, so I'm going to skip this one and go to Six Feet Under instead. Even though it's a fish place, it has a veggie plate for me. I just saw their impressive list of sustainability practices and I want to go give them some money in support of the cause.
